10. One Punch Man (Season 2)
Saitama, who is the one punch man burst into the limelight with his claim of being the strongest man alive. After the pilot aired in October 2015 many anime lovers instantly fell in love with creative mixture of action and comedy that the characters brought to the screen. The anime is based on a manga by the same title. The story follows the superhero, Saitama, who struggles to find a worthy opponent in battle since there isn’t a single monster in his city who can withstand his fists. The anime is expected to return for its second season mid 2017 although the official announcement is yet to be made.
9. Steins; Gate (The Movie)
Following the 2011 anime by White Fox animation studio, North American anime distributor FUNimation Entertainment announced on that it has scheduled its release of Steins;Gate – The Movie for 2017. The original 2011 series follows Rintaro Okabe, who together with his friends accidentally discovers a way to travel through time. They can also send text messages to the past, changing the present. The film will reunite the Steins; Gate television series’ cast and crew with a completely new story that is set after the “true end” of the television series.
8. Blue Exorcist (Season 2)
Blue Exorcist is an anime series adapted from the manga of the same title by Kazue Kato. The series follows a teenager named Rin Okumura who discovers that he is the son of the devil. Conflicted about his identity he becomes determined to become an exorcist in order to defeat Satan after the death of his guardian, Father Fujimoto. The second season premiered in January 2017.
7. Boku no Hero Academia
Boku no Hero Academia translates to My Hero Academia. It is an anime also adapted from a manga series created by Kōhei Horikoshi. The story is set on a world where people with superpowers who are referred to as “quirks” live freely in the society. The protagonist is Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without a quirk but who wishes to become a superhero. The new season is set to come out in April of 2017.
6. Konosuba (Season 2)
The full title for Konosuba (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) is rather long but it was an even longer wait for the second season of this anime series. Debuting season 2 on the 12th of January 2017, fans of this anime are glad to have it back on their screens once more.

Fairy Tail is anime originally released in Japan on October 12, 2009. The series follows the adventures of the Celestial Spirit Mage Lucy Heartfilia after she joins the Fairy Tail Guild and teams up with Natsu Dragneel, who is searching for the Dragon Igneel. A movie based on the anime series is set for release in spring 2017.

This anime is also based on a popular Manga by the same title. It was adapted into a television series in 2014. Netflix announced the Seven Deadly Sins as its second exclusive anime and all previous 24 episodes were released by Netflix in 2015. The highly anticipated television special, labeled as “Season 2”, has also been licensed by Netflix and was released on February 17, 2017.

The official website for the Gintama anime series announced that the new anime series would premiere on January 8. The series’ second season is currently running across most Japanese TV Networks.
2. Sword Art Online-The Movie
This is a 2017 Japanese animated film based on the Sword Art Online light novel and a TV anime series by the same title. The film is set after the events of the anime’s second season, where Kirito, Asuna, and their friends start playing a new game known as OS (short for “Ordinal Scale”) that doesn’t have a full-dive function and is based on a new augmented reality device called “Augma”. The anime was released in Japan in February and is scheduled for release in the United States on March 9, 2017.

After nearly 4 years of impatiently waiting for the second season of the hit anime series; Funimation finally announced a date for season 2 of Attack on Titan (AoT). It was announced that the series’ second season will return in April 2017. The internet is full of teasers for AoT Season 2 with some portraying the extremely dangerous Beast Titan as looking gorgeous.
